TAP Training Program

TAP’s Training Program provides hands-on supportive training in the animation pipeline to people (ages 17-24) who can’t afford or lack access to traditional instruction and education programs. Trainees engage in training on industry-standard software and career readiness skill development. TAP collaborates with leaders in the field to develop rigorous, innovative and industry-aligned curricula. Co-facilitated by professional animators alongside Creative Arts Therapists, TAP Training Programs offer a space for creatives to not only develop their technical artistry but also to grow and nurture the mental health and creative skills needed to thrive in today’s workplace.

TAP Training Programs ensure trainees have the tools they need to find success within the digital arts technology field.

Being involved in TAP has reignited my passion for doing creative things and has helped me learn new skills which has led me to new opportunities.
— Gabriella Consolo - Training Program Graduate

Major Gains

Training Program graduates earn a certificate of completion and apply what they’ve learned to the real world. TAP connects graduates with opportunities at NYC studios and assists with placement in additional schooling and professional internships. Graduates may be hired as apprentices in TAP Studio where they earn a living wage working on client projects while being supervised and mentored by industry professionals.
