What do I need in order to participate in Industry Access Events (IAE)?

In order to participate, you must be 12-24 years old, a NYC resident and complete all sections of the Eventbrite registration.

Where are the IAEs located?

On Zoom. You will be emailed reminders containing a Zoom link for each event you are registered for.

When do the IAEs run?

Check our Program Schedule for all available IAEs.

What do I need in order to participate in an IAE?

  • A device (desktop, laptop, tablet, phone) with a working internet connection

  • Access to Zoom

Do I need any artistic skill to participate?

Artistic skill is never a requirement for IAEs. They are webinar format. We encourage you to sit back, enjoy the presentation, and ask questions!

Do I need to download software to participate?

No.

Do I need to participate in the group?

We encourage you to sit back and enjoy the presentation! You are welcome to ask questions and share ideas during the Q+A portion of the IAE. Your camera and mic will be off for webinar format.

Why can’t I type anything in the chat or turn my mic or camera on?

All of our IAE’s are in webinar format with the chat disabled. Only the presenter’s camera and mics will be on. You are invited to share ideas and ask questions using the Q+A feature.

How many people can come to a group?

Each IAEs capacity ranges from approx 200-500 participants.

What if I’m having trouble with my internet connection?

We understand that technical difficulties do occur. We recommend that you test your internet connectivity and Zoom link prior to the start of the IAE to allow you time to troubleshoot any issues.

If for any reason you get logged out of the event, try your best to log back in. Zoom allows us to see the total number of minutes you were in the event.

What happens if I come late?

We understand that things happen. You will be able to join the event at any time. We encourage you to arrive on time and stay for the entire time.

How do I know if I’m marked present?

Zoom allows us to see the names of everyone who logged into the event. In order to receive your incentive, please make sure your Zoom name matches the name you used to register for the event. If you change your Zoom name after you already joined the event, Zoom will show the updated name for attendance.


Incentives Payment

How much will I get paid for attending an IAE?

You will receive $10 for each event you attend.

How will I get paid?

A visa prepaid card will be mailed to the address with which you registered within a week of the group you attended. Please allow up to 2 weeks for your card to arrive.

If you would like your card to be sent to a different address, please notify incentives@theanimationproject.org as soon as possible.

How do I activate and use my card?

Activation instructions are on the front of the card. Your card can be used where most debit cards are accepted.
